World's First Blog

A blog (a mixture of the term web log) is a category of website or part of a website which are updated with new content from time to time. A blog may contain regular entries of what is happening in a person's life and what is happening on the Web. There are as many unique types of blogs as there are people.

Origin:
Well, we can say the history of Blogging goes back to the 70's where Internet does not even existed.
Les Earnest (Computer Scientist) from Stanford University invented the "Finger" utility in early 1970s by which a network user can access a specific file form another user profile, which could include professional activities, news about personal life, politics etc...
Before the blogging gain popularity, digital communities have used many different forms including Usenet, GEnie, and the early CompuServe, e-mail lists and Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) where users can connect , read / write messages (called posts or articles).

First Blog:
The modern blogging style evolved from the Online Diary concept, where user can create account and post stuff as per their interests.
Technically speaking we cannot just name an individual who may be considered as the owner of the first blog, or alternatively “Father of the Blogging” But Justin Hall, who began personal blogging in 1994 when he was a student at Swarthmore College, is generally considered as one of the earliest bloggers.
